In vitro fertilization (IVF) is a method of assisted reproduction which involves combining an egg with sperm in a laboratory dish. If the egg fertilizes and begins cellular division, the resulting embryo is transferred into the womans uterus where it will ideally implant in the uterine lining and will further evolve. IVF is a perfect treatment for women with age related infertility, fallopian tube damage, male unexpected infertility, endometriosis, inexplicable infertility, and anovulation.
